Uber Black’s strength is flexibility: you can request a car for right now in the app. You can also reserve ahead with Uber Reserve, which adds a reservation fee that Uber says varies with the pickup location and the day and time.

Price
Uber sets the Uber Black price in the app when you request or reserve, so it depends on the time and on demand. We don’t quote Uber prices here, because they change from ride to ride: check the app for your trip.
RoolDrive’s rides between the airports and Manhattan are flat rates that don’t change with traffic or the time of day: $140 from JFK, $120 from LaGuardia and $140 from Newark in a Luxury Sedan, tolls included. Other rides are priced from the distance, and the exact total is shown before you pay.
Waiting and late flights
For reserved Uber Black rides, Uber says drivers wait up to 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time, and longer waits may be charged. For airport pickups, the driver gets notifications if your flight is delayed or lands early, and wait time is included after you land.
With RoolDrive, waiting is free for the first 15 minutes after your pickup time, and for the first 60 minutes after your flight lands. After that: $1.00 per minute in a Sedan, $1.50 per minute in an SUV.
Cancellation
Uber Reserve rides can be cancelled for free up to an hour before the ride; cancelling later, once a driver has accepted, costs a fee.
RoolDrive rides can be changed or cancelled for free up to 1 hour before pickup, with a full refund for card payments. Within 1 hour of pickup, rides can’t be cancelled or refunded.
