Landing in New York, going home to Jersey
Plenty of flights to Hoboken and Jersey City land at JFK, not Newark, and that is the awkward one: the airport is in southeast Queens, and getting to the Hudson waterfront means crossing Brooklyn and Manhattan or Staten Island first. On the train it is the AirTrain, the subway or the LIRR, then PATH, with your bags on every transfer.
A car does it in one go. Hoboken is about 30 miles from JFK and about 55 min with clear roads; from Newark it is only about 11 miles. From LaGuardia, Hoboken and Jersey City are reached across Queens and Manhattan, while Secaucus and Hackensack are quicker over the George Washington Bridge.
Every price below is quoted by our booking system for the trip shown, tolls included. It is an estimate because your exact address changes the distance; the final price is on screen before you pay and doesn’t move with traffic afterwards.

Tunnels, bridges and the Belt
From JFK the fastest road without traffic usually starts on the Belt Parkway. From LaGuardia, Hoboken and Jersey City are reached on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and through Manhattan, and Secaucus and Hackensack over the George Washington Bridge. Your chauffeur picks the crossing that is moving best on the day.
Crossings into New Jersey have no Port Authority toll in that direction, and in any case every toll is included in our price. Rush hour is what costs time: weekday afternoons on the Belt, the BQE and the Hudson crossings can add 30 to 60 minutes.

The short New Jersey rides
Newark is the natural airport for most of New Jersey, and many of these rides are short: the outlets at Jersey Gardens are a few minutes from the terminals, Bayonne and Secaucus about a quarter of an hour without traffic. For Princeton and Princeton Junction, the car goes south on the New Jersey Turnpike.
Woodbury Common is in New York State, in Central Valley, but it is a popular ride from Newark for shoppers with a free afternoon between flights, so we list it here.
